March, now, 24, is a Mustang cross who came to Sunshine Horses three years ago. Her owner’s home burned down while she was in the back pasture with a barn for shelter. The woman that owned her had no place to live, as she lost everything in the fire. She reached out to us, wanting safety for her horse. Soon after, we discovered our sweet girl had Cushing’s Disease and was insulin resistant. March has a low sugar and low starch diet. She is a favorite among the volunteers and beams from all the love and attention as they dote on her daily! We feel that because of her health issues, she should stay with us and enjoy the comfort of her Sunshine family.
